The Gynecology Registrar (OPD) is responsible for providing comprehensive gynecological care in the outpatient department in accordance with SCFHS clinical privileges, MOH regulations, and CBAHI accreditation standards. The role involves diagnosing and managing gynecological conditions, performing outpatient procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams when required.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive gynecological consultations and physical examinations in the outpatient department
- Diagnose and manage common gynecological conditions including menstrual disorders, infections, PCOS, infertility, and menopausal issues
- Provide antenatal and postnatal follow-up care in outpatient settings
- Perform routine gynecological procedures such as Pap smears, pelvic examinations, and contraceptive device insertions (when applicable)
- Request and interpret diagnostic investigations including laboratory tests, ultrasound, and other imaging studies
- Develop individualized treatment and management plans based on clinical findings
- Provide patient education on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards
- Ensure adherence to infection control policies and patient safety protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education
Qualifications
- MBBS / MBBCh (Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine)
- Postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Arab Board, MD, Diploma, or equivalent)
- Valid SCFHS Classification & Registration as Gynecology Registrar
- Valid MOH License or eligibility to obtain one
- Transferable Iqama required
Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Experience in outpatient (OPD) gynecology settings preferred
- Prior experience in a hospital or medical center setting is a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience in managing common gynecological conditions and minor procedures
