Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a General Practitioner with aesthetic privileges, based at Glow Aesthetic, Medical & Dermatology Clinic in Sharjah. The GP will provide general medical consultations, assess patients’ overall health, and manage common acute and chronic conditions in coordination with the dermatology and aesthetic teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical examinations, requesting and interpreting diagnostic tests, documenting medical histories, and developing patient-centered treatment plans. The GP will also perform or supervise approved aesthetic procedures within their credentialed scope, such as injectable treatments and non-invasive cosmetic interventions, while ensuring patient safety and informed consent. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues, maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to UAE healthcare regulations, and participating in continuous professional development and clinical quality improvement.
Qualifications
- Valid Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed residency or training as a General Practitioner, with current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the UAE (e.g., MOH/DHA/DOH).
- Demonstrated clinical skills in primary care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, management of common medical conditions, and appropriate referral to specialists.
- Experience or formal training in aesthetic medicine, with privileges or readiness to obtain privileges for procedures such as injectables, laser-based treatments, and non-surgical cosmetic therapies.
- Strong patient communication and counseling skills, including the ability to explain treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Knowledge of dermatology and skincare principles, particularly in relation to laser therapies, anti-aging treatments, and procedures for diverse skin types and tones.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, infection control standards, and adherence to UAE healthcare regulations and clinic protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively in a busy clinical setting, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
