Amana Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (LTC) to provide comprehensive medical care to residents within its long-term care and post-acute facilities. The role focuses on the ongoing management of chronic conditions, coordination of multidisciplinary care, and supporting patients with complex medical needs in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered medical care to LTC residents, including routine reviews and acute assessments.
  • Manage chronic illnesses, rehabilitation plans, and age-related conditions in coordination with nursing and allied health teams.
  • Conduct regular ward rounds, clinical evaluations, and care plan reviews.
  • Collaborate with specialists, therapists, nurses, and caregivers to ensure holistic and continuous care.
  • Ensure timely documentation and compliance with DOH regulations and Amana Healthcare clinical standards.
  • Participate in family meetings and provide clear medical updates and guidance when required.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities within the facility.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Experience in Long Term Care, rehabilitation, geriatrics, internal medicine, or family medicine is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of chronic disease management and multidisciplinary care models.
  • Excellent communication skills with a patient-focused and empathetic approach.
