Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expected to manage ECGs in critical care, wards, emergency and outpatients.
- Manages ECG recordings and appropriately annotates lead positions
- Manages Holter and ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring – preparation of patients and patient education.
- Assists physicians in stress studies. (treadmill, echo, nuclear and tilt)
- Partners with colleagues on monitoring of continuous ECG telemetry services.
- Provides timely reports within the electronic patient record.
- Effectively participates in departmental improvement projects under the guidance of senior technicians, supervisors and managers.
Accountabilities
- Appropriate reporting of defective or broken equipment in line with facility policy.
- Ensures equipment is ready for use with appropriate levels of consumables.
- Correct and immediate escalation of critical ECG results as per critical results policy
- Awareness of time sensitive procedures in line with key performance indicators.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience :-
Required:
- Two years of experience post certification in the related field.

Educational Qualification: Required:
- 1 year certificate in ECG Program OR
- 1 year Diploma program in Medical Sciences or Allied Health with evidence formal ECG training
