Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital in Abu Dhabi, a leader in Middle East Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care services and part of the Capital Health network, is seeking a Director of Critical Care / Intensivist to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership, caring for both ICU and LTVU patients. The Director will oversee patient care services, staffing, and performance improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with the hospital’s overall mission and standards of excellence. The role includes responsibility for clinical as well as administrative duties that include integration of evidence-based care, and collaboration with hospital executives to drive outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and accountability for Critical Care operations, staffing, and quality outcomes.
  • Oversee clinical and administrative functions to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient care.
  • Integrate financial, human resources, and clinical data into decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Mentor and support doctors, and other MDT frontline staff.
  • Foster a culture of evidence-based practice, innovation, and collaboration across the unit and hospital.
  • Promote innovation and recommend new programs within the scope of practice.

Education & Experience

  • Medical Doctorate degree with Specialty accreditation in Critical Care medicine.
  • BLS/ ACLS required. Instructorship an advantage.
  • 5+ years of critical care experience, including at least 2 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and healthcare systems.
  • Experience in Quality improvement practices and outcome measures.
  • Research experience a plus.
