The role leads the Case Management service, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centered care aligned with M42 values, western standards of practice, and regulatory requirements. The role provides clinical and operational leadership to the Case Management team, driving continuity of care, patient safety, staff engagement, and continuous improvement.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for planning, developing and implementing nutritional and dietary-care programs to patients/individuals in line with M42 and the relevant national health regulator’s policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

The incumbent is also responsible for providing nutritional and diet-related counselling and advice to patients and their family members to improve their nutrition status, health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

Nutrition Management & Care

  • Acts as a liaison and resource for staff regarding nutrition management and care.
  • Participates in nutrition screening, referral, and management training for new staff during orientation/induction.
  • Performs initial nutrition assessments and patient reviews, recommending appropriate, evidence‑based interventions for prevention and management of nutrition‑related diseases, comorbidities, and malnutrition.
  • Ensures continuity of care for patients with active nutrition issues.
  • Facilitates referrals for patients with complex nutrition‑related issues beyond their scope of practice to more experienced Dietitians, including external Dietetic Departments when necessary.
  • Supports medical employees in following up on post‑consultation activities such as patient evaluation reports.
  • Maintains accurate records of all patient‑related information and services provided (assessment, intervention, education, referrals) in accordance with Departmental Standards.
  • Participates in external events to raise awareness of nutrition and health‑related topics.

Quality Assurance & Service Improvement

  • Assists in designing and implementing clinical programs, initiatives, and services to ensure patient safety and quality healthcare delivery.
  • Participates in educational and research activities.
  • Develops informational and educational materials in collaboration with nurse educators and/or nurse specialists, tailored to the appropriate level of understanding for patients, residents, and families.

Education and Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or Health Science with a major in Nutrition
  • Post‑graduate Diploma or Master’s in Dietetics

Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years of post‑qualification experience in the relevant field
  • Strong ICU training and experience
  • Completion of specialty qualification aligned with the recognized specialty certificate
  • Experience working in a JCIA‑accredited facility
  • Demonstrated experience and skill in applying the Nutrition Care Process (NCP)

Certification & Licensure

  • Valid national health regulator license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
