Role Description The Derma Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Ain, responsible for delivering high-quality dermatology and aesthetic nursing care to patients. Day-to-day tasks include assisting dermatologists with clinical procedures, preparing treatment rooms and equipment, and performing nurse-led dermatological and laser treatments according to clinic protocols. The Derma Nurse will conduct patient assessments, take medical histories, explain procedures, obtain informed consent, and provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions. The role includes monitoring patients during and after procedures, documenting care accurately in patient records, and ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and quality standards. The Derma Nurse will collaborate closely with the medical and front-desk teams to support smooth clinic operations, maintain equipment readiness, and contribute to a positive, respectful, and patient-centered environment.
Qualifications

  • Valid nursing license/registration and formal nursing qualification (e.g., diploma or bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent).
  • Experience in dermatology, aesthetics, or laser therapy, with practical skills in assisting with skin procedures and dermatological treatments.
  • Strong patient care skills, including thorough assessment, clear communication, and the ability to provide compassionate support before and after treatments.
  • Knowledge of laser technologies and dermatology equipment, with an emphasis on safety protocols, infection control, and quality standards.
  • Ability to document clinical encounters accurately and maintain organized patient records in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with dermatologists, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Good time management and organizational skills to manage appointment schedules and multiple patient cases efficiently.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to learn new dermatology and aesthetic techniques.
  • Proficiency in basic computer use and clinic management systems; familiarity with electronic medical records is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a private clinic or hospital setting in dermatology or aesthetics is preferred; multilingual communication skills are beneficial.
