Job Description

Manages the department’s overall operations to include budget development, clinical operations, patient access, employee management and productivity. Assists in the development of department strategic initiatives aligned with the Institute and enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Manages day to day operational support to Institutes & Departments.
  • Manages the institute/department operational and overall business activities.
  • Supports the application of CCAD operating procedures and communicates with management to ensure understanding and compliance with policies/procedures.
  • Manages the selection and placement of new employees, performance evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Interprets and communicates policies/procedures and communicates relevant changes.
  • Manages departmental operating budgets and monitors cost variances.
  • Identifies and leads key departmental cost management initiatives to achieve quantified results.
  • Develops strong understanding and co-leads the direction/monitoring of the revenue cycle for the department billing and reimbursement.
  • Manages operational areas, identifies risks and drives improvement opportunities in key areas including patient access, patient experience, service line cost management, quality management, employee engagement and other departmental functions that support the overall institute performance.
  • Implements strategic initiatives within the department including institute growth strategies, new practice acquisitions and marketing plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to CCAD’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
  • In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within CCAD, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree required; Master’s Degree preferred with a Bachelor’s in a clinical/healthcare related domain.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience incl 3+ years of healthcare operational management experience, or 7+ years increasingly responsible professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree and supervisory role responsibilities.
  • Requires critical thinking and analytical skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and strong leadership.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification and Licensure: Professional Membership with scope appropriate National/International organization preferred. Example: American College Healthcare Executive membership.
