Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dental clinics for teaching sessions and ensure readiness of instruments and materials.
  • Assist instructors and students with clinical procedures in a safe and effective manner.
  • Deliver sterilized instruments and materials to students and faculty during sessions.
  • Ensure contaminated instruments are promptly and safely returned to the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and quality control standards.
  • Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control measures within the clinic environment.
  • Participate in departmental training programs to maintain clinical competency.
  • Perform other assigned duties that support the clinical education process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related healthcare field from a recognized university.
  • SCFHS classification as Dental Assistant or CSSD Technician or Specialist – Required

Experience

  • 1–3 years of clinical or academic dental assisting experience.
  • Experience working in an undergraduate dental education environment is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of dental procedures and sterilization protocols.
  • Ability to support clinical teaching in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in both Arabic and English.
  • Ability to use dental software, clinical dashboards, and digital tools for record-keeping.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and commitment to high standards of patient and student care.
