Roles & Responsibilities
-Review clinical documentation for day case encounters and assign appropriate ICD-10-AM and CPT codes.
-Ensure coding accuracy, completeness, and compliance with UAE coding and billing standards.
-Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and CDI teams to clarify documentation when needed.
-Validate coded data before claim submission to minimize rejections or denials.
-Support the Revenue Cycle and Billing teams in ensuring claim accuracy.
-Maintain detailed coding records and ensure data confidentiality.
-Keep updated on health authority (DOH) guidelines and payer coding policies.
-Participate in coding audits and implement feedback for continuous improvement.
-Collaborate with the Denial Management team to resolve coding-related rejections.
Desired Candidate Profile
-Bachelor s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Records, or a related field.
-2 to 4 years of experience as a Medical Coder, specifically in Day Case coding within a UAE hospital or healthcare organization.
-Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare billing and payer requirements.
-Valid CPC, CCS, or equivalent coding certification (mandatory).
-Proficient in ICD-10-AM and CPT coding systems.
-Experience in using EMR systems (Cerner, Medisys, Oracle, etc.) and e-claim platforms.
-Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
-Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
-Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
-Proficient in English; Arabic is an advantage.
