Job Description:
Consultant Plastic Surgeon is fully responsible to provide high standard of clinical care and expertise in assessment, investigation, diagnosis and treatment of patients in plastic surgery and other care settings in hospital. Physician should be actively involved in continuous quality improvement activities of department and hospital to achieve the goals of HMG.
Job Responsibilities:
– Manage the assigned patient’s consultations as per the directives of the Medical Director.
– Responsible for initial assessment, requesting investigation, analyzing the rest results, diagnosis, treatment, and re-assessment on follow- up to reach a final diagnosis.
– Responsible for patients under his/ her care whenever indicated within the limits of the approved and assigned privileges.
– Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent complications or disease.
– Explain procedures and discuss diagnostic results or prescribed treatments with the patients and his/her attendants.
– Monitor the patients’ condition and progress and re-evaluate/ re-assessment and treat the patient accordingly.
– Refer patient to other specialists when necessary, also consult with, or provide consulting services to, other physicians whenever requested.
– Take daily rounds for his/ her In-Patients and referred patients.
– Document and complete medical record on time and update the progress notes on the same time.
– Authenticate the medical records at initial entries and progress notes by logging in with own username and password in Patient Health Records.
Work Nature:
– High-paced environment.
– 6 days/48 hours per week.
Requirements–
Experience:
-At least five (5) years of practice in his / her specialty after obtaining the higher degree in a Tertiary Care Hospital.
– Subspecialty degree or structured subspecialty training preferred.
Education/Professional Qualification:
– Graduate of Medical School, recognized by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
– Completion of appropriate internship and residency programs.
Certifications:
– Post-graduate qualifications in the specialty.
– Membership, Fellowship and/or Board Certification in respective specialty.
– Relevant licensure from the country of origin, acceptable to Saudi Commission for Health Specialty and Ministry of Health.
Skills:
– Expertise in aesthetic and reconstructive surgical techniques
– Precision, attention to detail, and excellent hand-eye coordination
– Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
– Effective patient communication and counseling abilities
– Commitment to patient safety, ethics and confidentiality
– Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary medical teams
