Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high quality and compassionate medical care to children from birth to adolescence
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical examinations, and medical consultations for pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic illnesses, infections, and injuries in children
- Manage and follow up on the treatment plans of pediatric patients, including medication regimens, referrals, and surgeries
- Collaborate with other medical professionals, including nurses, specialists, and therapists, to provide a multidisciplinary approach to pediatric care
- Ensure compliance with medical standards, guidelines, and protocols in all patient care activities
- Educate parents and caregivers on appropriate childcare practices, disease prevention, and management of common childhood illnesses
- Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient care activities
- Participate in continuous professional development activities to expand knowledge and skills in pediatric medicine
- Provide support and guidance to junior medical staff and act as a mentor for medical students and residents
Qualifications And Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Pediatrics from a recognized medical board
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Pediatrician in a reputable healthcare facility
- In-depth knowledge of pediatric diseases, conditions, and treatments
- Experience in managing pediatric emergencies and critical care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends if needed
- Must be Western-trained
