Job Description
Job Purpose:
To deliver high-quality, specialized pediatric orthopedic care on a part-time basis. The consultant will diagnose, treat, and manage musculoskeletal disorders in children and adolescents while maintaining the hospital’s strict international healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outpatient Clinics: Conduct specialized pediatric orthopedic clinics to assess and manage congenital, developmental, and acquired musculoskeletal conditions.
- Surgical Procedures: Perform elective and emergency pediatric orthopedic surgeries using advanced evidence-based techniques.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with the pediatric, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation teams to ensure comprehensive patient recovery plans.
- Patient Advocacy: Provide empathetic, clear communication to young patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment journeys.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in clinical audits, continuous medical education (CME), and hospital quality initiatives.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Education: Medical Degree with an internationally recognized Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery (e.g., CCST, American Board, Facharzt, or equivalent).
- Fellowship: Dedicated post-graduate fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of post-board certification experience specializing in pediatric orthopedics.
- Licensure: Active Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Consultant License or confirmed DHA Consultant Eligibility letter is mandatory.
