Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
We are seeking a Consultant Neonatologist (Tier 1) to join our expert team. You will lead the delivery of specialized neonatal care, manage high-risk deliveries, and provide comprehensive treatment for premature and critically ill babies in a busy, high-volume clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical leadership in the Level III NICU, ensuring evidence-based care for neonates.
- Manage high-risk deliveries and support high-risk pregnancies in collaboration with obstetric teams.
- Diagnose and treat complex neonatal conditions, overseeing resuscitation and stabilization.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with DOH standards, hospital protocols, and international best practices.
- Mentor junior physicians and contribute to departmental education, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialist certification in Neonatology.
- Tier 1 Consultant status as per DOH PQR requirements.
- DOH registration as Consultant Neonatologist (mandatory).
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Level III NICU, managing premature and critically ill babies.
- Proven ability to lead in high-pressure, high-volume environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
