Position Summary
The Consultant Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive, expert-level clinical care to patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreatico-biliary disorders. The role involves outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and advanced endoscopic procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Diagnose and treat complex gastrointestinal and liver conditions in outpatients and inpatients.
- Procedures: Perform high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with general surgery, oncology, and radiology teams for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain strict compliance with hospital clinical protocols, JCI standards, and DHA regulations.
- Patient Communication: Educate patients and families clearly regarding treatment plans and procedural risks.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Medical Degree (MD or MBBS) plus specialized higher qualification (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian FRCPC, or German Facharzt).
- Experience: 4+ years of post-certification practice as a Consultant.
- Licensure: Valid DHA license or active DHA eligibility portal profile.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Arabic proficiency is a distinct advantage.
- Competencies: Strong clinical acumen, excellent communication, and a patient-centered approach.
