Job Description
Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and motivated Clinical Instructor in Medicine to support clinical training within the General Medicine Program. This role focuses on supervising students during clinical rotations, bridging theory with practice, and ensuring students develop strong clinical competencies and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Teaching & Supervision
- Supervise and guide students during clinical rotations and practical sessions
- Deliver bedside teaching, case discussions, and clinical demonstrations
- Support development of clinical reasoning, patient assessment, and decision-making skills
- Ensure safe, ethical, and professional conduct in clinical settings
- Utilize simulation-based training where applicable
Student Assessment & Support
- Evaluate students’ clinical performance using structured assessment tools
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to support development
- Mentor students and support them in overcoming academic and clinical challenges
Academic & Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in student evaluations and clinical assessments (e.g., OSCEs)
- Maintain accurate records (attendance, evaluations, reports)
- Contribute to course and program reports as required
- Use LMS and digital tools to support teaching and documentation
Professional Conduct & Collaboration
- Adhere to institutional policies, clinical regulations, and ethical standards
- Collaborate with faculty, clinical teams, and hospital partners
- Participate in academic activities, meetings, and professional development
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent in Medicine
- Valid professional license / SCFHS registration (preferred/required)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical practice experience
- Experience in clinical teaching or supervision is preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills
