Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care across inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting patients in achieving their health goals and improving overall well-being.
You will play a key role in assessing nutritional needs, developing individualized care plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to food service quality and patient education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans
- Manage a designated caseload across inpatient, outpatient, and community/home settings
- Provide evidence-based dietetic interventions aligned with best practice and DHA guidelines
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions and clinical decision-making
- Support health promotion and preventative nutrition programs
Patient Care & Education
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and carers
- Encourage and support patients in achieving diet-related goals
- Deliver group education sessions and training where required
- Safeguard patient well-being by identifying and reporting any concerns
Food Service & Quality
- Collaborate with catering teams to ensure clinical nutrition requirements are met
- Support menu planning, recipe development, and meal quality inspections
- Ensure compliance with nutrition, safety, hygiene, and quality standards
Operational & Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in audits, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
- Promote the dietetic service internally and externally
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, DHA regulations, and professional standards
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Valid DHA License (Dietitian)
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition
- (or Health Science degree with Nutrition major + postgraduate qualification in Dietetics)
Experience
- Minimum of recent clinical experience within the last 2 years
- Experience in hospital or clinical healthcare settings preferred

- Strong clinical knowledge in nutrition assessment and dietetic interventions
- Excellent communication and counseling skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- High level of empathy and patient-centered approach
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
