Consultant Breast Surgeon (Arabic Speaking)

Position Summary
SEHA Al Ain, is seeking a highly qualified Consultant Breast Surgeon (Arabic Speaker) to join our multidisciplinary surgical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic, surgical, and follow-up care for patients with benign and malignant breast diseases, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and compassionate care.
The role requires close collaboration with radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, plastic surgeons, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered breast care services.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of benign and malignant breast conditions.
- Perform advanced breast surgical procedures, including:
- Breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy)
- Mastectomy
- Sentinel lymph node biopsy
- Axillary surgery
- Oncoplastic breast surgery
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and treatment planning.
- Provide pre-operative assessment, informed consent, and post-operative care.
- Manage outpatient clinics and inpatient consultations.
- Ensure timely documentation of clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient outcomes.
- Deliver culturally sensitive care to Arabic-speaking patients and families.
Quality and Patient Safety
- Adhere to organizational policies, international clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Participate in morbidity and mortality reviews as required.
- Promote patient safety and infection prevention standards.
Academic and Leadership Responsibilities
- Participate in teaching, mentoring, and training activities for junior medical staff and allied health professionals.
- Support clinical research and continuous medical education activities.
- Contribute to service development and strategic growth of the Breast Care Program.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Medical Degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Completion of accredited residency training in General Surgery.
- Fellowship or equivalent advanced training in Breast Surgery/Oncoplastic Breast Surgery.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Consultant Breast Surgeon in a tertiary care hospital.
- Proven expertise in breast oncology and breast-conserving surgical techniques.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary breast cancer programs is highly desirable.
Licensing
- Eligibility for DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant license or currently licensed as a Consultant in the UAE.
- Board Certification recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
