Role Description: The Biomedical Engineer role at Global Pharm is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo. The role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining medical and IVF-related equipment at client sites, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The Biomedical Engineer will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Responsibilities include providing technical support and training to healthcare professionals, documenting service activities, and collaborating with internal teams to improve product performance and customer satisfaction. The role also involves staying current with relevant standards, regulations, and emerging technologies in biomedical and clinical engineering.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment, especially IVF-related devices and laboratory systems.
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance, including diagnostics, repair, and calibration.
- Experience implementing Preventive Maintenance programs for medical and laboratory equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of healthcare quality and safety standards relevant to medical devices.
- Ability to read technical manuals, interpret equipment specifications, and prepare service reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently on-site.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clinical teams and delivering technical training.
- Previous experience in IVF, medical distribution, or hospital equipment settings is an advantage.
