Bio-Medical Engineer (207921)

Responsible for the maintenance and smooth running of the facilities as well as acting as the liaison point with all contractors for the development and expansion projects within the facility or assigned to him. Ensure the compliance and adherence to the health & Safety as well as hygiene and infection control Saudi codes.

Lead Medical Equipment’s Department as biomedical engineering is vital in clinics because it brings together engineering principles and medical knowledge to create innovative solutions that improve diagnostics, treatment, and overall patient care. It enhances the efficiency of healthcare delivery, contributes to medical advancements, and ultimately helps save and improve lives.

Accountabilities

  • Facility Management Department
  • Apply CBAHI Stander for Facility Management Chapter covering all related standers:
  • Safety
  • Fire System
  • Emergency
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Medical Equipment’s
  • Ensure the compliance and adherence to all authorities (e.g. the Civil Defense authority, Ministry of Health, Municipality) regulations and code of conduct across the facility and with all departments.
  • Apply all needed measures to assure compliance with any hygiene and infection control regulations and codes applied by the Saudi authorities. As well as securing the safe disposal of medical waste.
  • Responsible for and acting as the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) person for the Health & Safety procedure in the facility.
  • Set and deliver a training and development plan for raising awareness and ensuring the that all staff are complying with the Health & Safety requirements. (Including running the fire drills and training)
  • Assess and mitigate the risks to Health & Safety of staff and patients in the facility to avoid and minimize any accidents or claims.
  • Medical Equipment Department
  • Prepare and submit the maintenance and development budget for the year.
  • Follow up and ensure proper project management procedures are applied for any new development or extension plans in the facility.
  • Manage the budget for any new development assigned to him or expansion plans in the facility.
  • Sign and pass for approval any change orders or phase submittals for any new development assigned to him or expansion project in the facility.
  • Ensure performance management and coaching procedures are applied to his team to allow proper and objective judgment and decisions related to the organization’s employees.
  • Support and collaborate with HR the effective and proper learning and development for his team.
  • Providing support in the planning phase of a proposed projects for Al Nahdi Care Clinics.
  • Participates in the implementation of Al Nahdi Care clinics projects.
  • Coordination with Network team and medical consultant for review of layouts of a project and provide feedback.
  • Attend projects meeting when needed.
  • Leads the technical aspect of procurement od medical equipment for new projects.
  • Research the market for new technology of medical devices
  • Coordinate and cooperates with third parties’ medical equipment vendors.
  • Facilitates timely and accurate communication flow between main contractors and medical consultants and vendors.
  • Leads installation, adjustment needs for medical equipment.
  • Evaluate the safety, efficiency, cost effectiveness of medical equipment.
  • Trains clinicians and other users of a newly installed medical equipment in the Clinics.
  • Monitors progress of the projects.
  • Responsible for BOQ listing and estimating.
  • Responsible to set the biomedical systems standard for each project, renovation and expanding.
  • Manage and supervise services of biomedical equipment in subsidiaries in any other location whenever is needed.
  • Monitors and evaluate performance of medical gas system.
  • Facilitates timely and accurate communication flow between IT department and Vendors to complete integration with HIS.
  • Leads FMS chapter to get CBAHI standards.
  • Monitors progress of PPM schedule for all clinics.
  • Follow up on daily equipment malfunctions and seek quick solutions .
  • Facilitates timely and accurate communication flow between Inventory team to get best of medical consumables to avoid any faults with devices .

The employee’s duties are not limited to the above-mentioned accountabilities. The manager can assign other duties based on the business need.

  • Working Hours : 8 net hours duty – 1 hour break (flexible working hours as per the job need)

Job Requirement

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Civil Engineering

Experience

  • 3yrs as a facilities Manager in a healthcare facility

Computer Skills

  • Office and Microsoft Projects.

Languages

  • English and Arabic (fluent speaking and writing)
