Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Completing a mechanical checklist prior to each shift to ensure ambulance is in working order and ready to transport patients to and from required locations and reporting any mechanical issues to appropriate service personnel.
• Ensuring the ambulance is clean and stocked properly with first aid and medical supplies prior to each shift and between patient transport throughout the day.
• Accepting patient transport assignments daily and driving ambulance with any necessary medical personnel to patient location.
• Helping patients onto ambulance gurney and loading them into the ambulance, assisted by partner or other medical personnel.
• Transporting patients to assigned medical facility, unloading patient and taking patient inside facility and to destination directed by medical personnel.
• Accompanying EMTs and paramedics on emergency calls to transport patients to hospitals when assigned to do so.
• Reporting accidents or other emergency facts to medical personnel and/or law enforcement, when necessary, after coordinating with his direct supervisor.
• Operating the ambulance in a safe and proper manner and obeying local traffic laws and regulations.
• Complying with, at all times, with all company safety procedures/regulations and strictly enforces them with the workforce under his responsibility.
• Preparing periodic reports with respect to the Driving activities and the ambulance maintenance records to be submitted to his supervisor.
• Commitment & implementing of the standards, code, requirements, laws and regulations of government agencies and accreditation bodies.
• Performing other professional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education Degree: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Years of Experience: None.
• License: None.
• Professional Certification: CPR Certification.

Required Skills:

• Good Command of oral Arabic.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
• Adequate physical fitness and good health.
• Knowledge of radio/standard radio transmission codes.
• Time Management skills.
