Role Description The Acupuncture Practitioner will provide high-quality, evidence-informed acupuncture treatments as part of an integrated holistic care team. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed patient assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, performing acupuncture and related techniques safely, and monitoring patient progress over time. The practitioner will collaborate with other alternative medicine specialists to ensure coordinated care, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and adhere to DOH and clinic protocols. Responsibilities also include educating patients on holistic health practices, participating in internal training and case discussions, and contributing to patient-centric service improvements. This is a project based role, based in Abu Dhabi, with primary duties on-site at the centre and some work-from-home tasks such as documentation, follow-up calls, and tele-consultations as appropriate. The Practitioner will be DOH Licensed TCAM (Chinese Medicine or Acupuncture Practitioner), responsible to establish the department and lead it.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Alternative Medicine and Holistic Health, with a clear understanding of integrative and patient-centric care.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Healing and Shiatsu or other complementary bodywork therapies that support acupuncture and overall wellness.
  • Candidates should possess Training skills, including the ability to educate patients and participate in professional development and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Relevant qualifications include recognized acupuncture certification or diploma, eligibility or licensure with DOH Abu Dhabi, and experience working in a holistic or integrative clinical setting.
  • Candidates should demonstrate excellent clinical assessment skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to safety, ethics, and compassionate care.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary teams, familiarity with electronic health records, and proficiency in English (Arabic an asset) would be beneficial.
