About Us

Macro Group Pharmaceuticals was founded in 2002 by Dr. Ahmed El Nayeb and his partner. The company began its journey with a development phase and was officially established as a partnership in 2005.

In its early years, Macro operated using an asset-light model by outsourcing manufacturing to external pharmaceutical facilities. The company initially focused on cosmeceuticals and dietary supplements.

From 2007, Macro shifted its strategy to focus mainly on cosmeceutical products, strengthening its position in this specialized market.

In 2010, the company established its own production facility with a daily manufacturing capacity of around 78,000 units per shift. The same year, it was converted into a limited liability company, marking an important step in its growth and structure.

Over time, Macro expanded significantly, growing its workforce to more than 600 employees and entering export markets across Africa and the Middle East.

In 2017, the company entered a new phase of institutional growth following its acquisition by Alta Semper and Kingsway, helping it strengthen operations and expand further.

Today, Macro Group is recognized as one of the leading cosmeceutical manufacturers in Egypt, known for its strong market presence and continuous growth.
