The Procurement and warehouse supervisor is extensive experience in healthcare settings, specializing in rehabilitation and long-term care. Responsible for optimizing supply chains, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and product integrity while leading high-performing teams.
JOB SCOPE:
Procurement & warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for lead end-to-end procurement, warehousing, and logistics operations to ensure timely availability of medical, assistance, and rehabilitation equipment and supplies. Establish and enforce procurement policies, supplier evaluation, and contract management to achieve cost efficiencies and quality. Oversee receipt, storage, inventory control, distribution, and returns, ensuring accurate tracking, cold chain where applicable, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Also, partner with clinical leaders to forecast demand, support capital expenditure planning, and optimize stock levels to prevent shortages and waste. And lead continuous improvement initiatives in stock accuracy, order fulfillment, and supplier performance, while ensuring safety, incident reporting, and adherence to safety standards in the warehouse. And manage a diverse team, drive professional development, and foster a culture of patient-centered care and operational excellence.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educations and Certificates:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Healthcare Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in procurement and warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a healthcare setting (rehabilitation or LTC preferred).
- Proven experience with healthcare procurement, medical device and supply contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong track record of leading teams and improving inventory accuracy and service levels.
SKILLS AND PORFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
- Advanced knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization.
- Expertise in warehouse operations, inventory management systems (e.g., ERP/WMS), and data analytics for forecasting and reporting.
- Understanding healthcare compliance, patient safety, infection control, and quality assurance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with clinical teams.
- Proficiency in risk assessment, incident reporting, and safety leadership.
- Change management and project management capabilities; ability to lead process improvements.
LANGUAGE
- Proficiency in written, read and spoken Arabic and English languages.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to):
GENERAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with clinical needs and organizational goals.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and distribution.
- Manage supplier selection, performance evaluation, negotiations, and contract administration.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and patient safety in all supply chain activities.
- Lead a skilled team; provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to align inventory with patient care priorities.
- Monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute strategic sourcing and category management for medical devices, rehabilitation equipment, consumables, and LTC supplies.
- Maintain accurate MRPs, par levels, and safety stock; perform regular cycle counts and audits.
- Lead inbound logistics, receiving inspections, cold chain management (where required), and returns processing.
- Optimize order processing, lead times, and on-time delivery to clinical areas and facilities.
- Manage asset tracking, stock rotation, and value recovery for obsolete or expired items.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control policies, and safety protocols.
- Develop and monitor budget, cost savings, and supplier performance dashboards.
- Lead incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions related to supply chain events.
- Drive training programs on procurement systems, inventory control, and safety procedures.
