Job Description

About the job:

• Oversee daily operations of instrument cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution processes.
• Ensure all sterilization procedures comply with hospital policies, international standards (e.g., AAMI, WHO), and infection control protocols.
• Monitor and document all sterilization cycles, load records, biological and chemical indicators, and environmental conditions.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or irregularities; coordinate with maintenance and biomedical teams when needed.
• Assist in training and mentoring CSSD technicians and new staff.
• Maintain and manage inventory of sterile supplies, surgical instruments, and consumables.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Operating Room, Endoscopy, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and collection of sterile items.
• Stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and evolving infection control regulations.
