Job Description
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat complex neurological and cerebrovascular conditions, including:
- Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
- Cerebral aneurysms
- Carotid artery disease
- Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and fistulas
- Perform minimally invasive neurointerventional procedures, such as:
- Mechanical thrombectomy
- Endovascular coiling and stenting
- Angioplasty and embolization
- Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and radiologists to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Interpret neuroimaging studies (CT, MRI, cerebral angiography) to guide treatment plans.
- Participate in stroke team activation and provide emergency interventions.
- Stay updated with advancements in interventional neurology and contribute to research or clinical trials if applicable.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and medical regulations.
Qualifications
- Education:Â MD degree with specialization in Neurology or related field.
- Fellowship Training: Completed an accredited Interventional Neurology, Endovascular Neurosurgery, or Neurointerventional Radiology fellowship.
- Certification:Â Board certification in Neurology and/or Neurointervention (preferred).
- Strong expertise in neurovascular imaging and catheter-based interventions.
- Excellent decision-making skills, especially in emergency settings.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
