Specialist / Consultant Haemato Oncology (PL)

Job Description

  • Diagnose and treat hematologic malignancies, including acute and chronic leukemia, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative disorders.
  • Perform bone marrow biopsies, aspirations, and stem cell transplantation procedures (if applicable).
  • Develop and oversee individualized chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy plans.
  • Interpret laboratory tests, bone marrow pathology, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and molecular studies.
  • Provide supportive care, including transfusion management, infection control, and palliative care for terminally ill patients.
  • Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and optimize treatment strategies.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and potential side effects.

Bone Marrow Transplantation (if applicable):

  • Evaluate patients for autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
  • Coordinate donor selection and manage post-transplant complications, such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD) or equivalent.
  • Board Certification or Fellowship in Haematology, Oncology, or Haemato-Oncology 
  • Valid medical license to practice.
  • Additional training in bone marrow transplantation, cellular therapy, or experimental oncology is an advantage
