Job Purpose
The Senior Product Specialist holds the responsibility for strategically developing and promoting specific products within the company’s portfolio. This pivotal role entails identifying market opportunities, enhancing product market share, and fostering collaboration across teams to ensure successful product launches and sustained growth.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Contribution
- Product Promotion: Spearheading the promotion efforts for specific products within the company’s portfolio.
- Market Analysis: Leading market research and analysis initiatives to customer demands, and competitive dynamics.
- Product Development: Engaging closely with product development teams to delineate product features, specifications, and advancements.
- Product Launches: Orchestrating the planning and execution of product launches, encompassing positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Performance Tracking: Vigilantly monitoring and analysing product performance metrics, such as sales revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction, to formulate data-driven enhancement strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicating product updates, milestones, and strategies to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, sales teams, marketing teams, and cross-functional departments.
- Training: Providing comprehensive hands-on training sessions for assigned products, available upon request and as needed.
Leadership
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offering mentorship and coaching to junior team members, guiding them in product strategy, market analysis, and promotional efforts.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Facilitating collaboration across various departments such as marketing, sales, and development to ensure alignment and synergy in product initiatives.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing challenges and obstacles that arise during product development and promotion
- Communication: Effectively communicating product strategies, goals, and updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with overall company objectives.
Operational
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product development, promotion, and sales, and taking corrective actions as needed to achieve targets and objectives.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of product development processes, decisions, and outcomes, and providing regular reports to senior management on project status and performance.
- Project Management: Overseeing the execution of product development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with Biomedical engineering, nursing major, or any equivalent.
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in Surgical/ Medical Endoscopy or operating room.
