Job Description

Summary

Performs imaging procedures utilizing magnetic resonance imaging scanners. Assists other technologists in performing sophisticated procedures.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Prepares the inpatient schedule and coordinates with floors regarding patient’s preparation and transportation.

2. Performs imaging procedures utilizing magnetic resonance imaging scanners. Assists other technologists.

3. Investigates possible, new procedures.

4. Assists in maintaining inventory of stock and non-stock supplies.

5. Ensures that equipment is properly maintained. Contacts supervisor for any repair needed.

6. Participates in departmental in-services and continuing education and CQI programs.

7. Assists with development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures for the section, department, and Hospital.

8. Complies with the section policies, procedures and protocols. Follow the section quality improvement program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, SFDA and other accreditation agencies standards.

9. Complies with the Radiation Safety Rules and Regulations of the Hospital in accordance with KACST and K.A. CARE

10. Applies ALARA principle Role within the section practice for all procedures.

11. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.

12. Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.

13. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Science/ Technology required for Saudi Nationals, or Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (minimum 2 years) for non-Saudi is required

Experience Required

Four (4) years of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree, or six (6) years with programs is required.

Other Requirements/ Certifications

Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
