Job Description

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiology from an accredited institution.
  • Additional certifications in Musculoskeletal Imaging, Interventional Radiology, or Geriatric Imaging preferred.
  • Valid SCFHS license as Specialist

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpret MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, and other imaging modalities relevant to rehabilitation and LTC.
  • Communicate findings effectively to clinicians, therapists, and patients.
  • Recommend further imaging or diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Ensure imaging equipment is used safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and protocols.
  • Participate in patient care planning meetings.
  • Provide on-call radiology services as required.
  • Supervise and train radiology technologists and junior staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of imaging technology and best practices.
  • Document all reports meticulously in the medical record system.
  • Collaborate on multidisciplinary treatment plans.
  • Assist in the development of imaging protocols tailored to LTC and rehabilitation needs.
  • Contribute to audits and quality assurance activities.
  • Support infection control and safety procedures.
  • Engage in research activities related to imaging in the LTC and rehab sectors.
