Job Description
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiology from an accredited institution.
- Additional certifications in Musculoskeletal Imaging, Interventional Radiology, or Geriatric Imaging preferred.
- Valid SCFHS license as Specialist
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, and other imaging modalities relevant to rehabilitation and LTC.
- Communicate findings effectively to clinicians, therapists, and patients.
- Recommend further imaging or diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Ensure imaging equipment is used safely and effectively.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and protocols.
- Participate in patient care planning meetings.
- Provide on-call radiology services as required.
- Supervise and train radiology technologists and junior staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of imaging technology and best practices.
- Document all reports meticulously in the medical record system.
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary treatment plans.
- Assist in the development of imaging protocols tailored to LTC and rehabilitation needs.
- Contribute to audits and quality assurance activities.
- Support infection control and safety procedures.
- Engage in research activities related to imaging in the LTC and rehab sectors.
