Job Overview The Policy Management Manager – Allianz Partners HEALTH work with the Global Head to deliver the long-term strategic goals for Policy Management. The incumbent shall ensure business growth through directing and managing flow of operational activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organization’s strategy and work closely with the Local Regional COO and the other functional leaders.
This role has an overall responsibility to plan, direct and manage the operational performance of the Egypt Policy Management Team for Allianz Care, responsible for delivering an efficient and high-quality policy management service to corporate clients, Insurance Payers, insured members, intermediaries and internal stakeholders across all regions. Responsibility will include developing the functional strategy, budget controls, digital transformation, policy administration, product set up, Customer Experience, Global KPI’s and process management.
The incumbent will report to the Global Head of Health Policy Management and be a member of the Health Global Policy Management Leadership team
What You Do Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop, define and execute the Allianz Care Policy Management Operations strategy in line with the Global Policy Management Health Strategy to ensure profitable growth and a strong market position.
- Lead and manage a large local team, comprising both direct reports and matrix management across the different regions.
- Responsible for adherence to the global Allianz Care function’s processes, productivity, budget and FTE requirements
- Implement Policy Management and Control Management framework including Product set up for the ‘on boarding’ of new clients as part of the Allianz Partners Health Global Policy Management Framework.
- Effectively manage the key BAU activities within the Egypt team including inception and product system set up, renewal of group schemes, policy document creation & distribution, management of mid-year membership changes, member portal training & client demonstrations.
- Ensure that end to end processes are efficient, effective, and SLAs are consistently achieved.
- Contributing to the digital transformation (such as automation, robotization, etc.) of the digital assets for Policy Management platforms.
- Provide input and manage the KPIs for policy operations across all business lines (IPMI, PMI, TPA & Student) and markets.
- Increase the effectiveness of the incumbent team by recognising opportunities for new approaches including automation and digital customer journeys. For example Payer and Client self-service portals, etc
- Ensure efficient and effective regulatory and client/payer reporting.
- Be a catalyst for change: influence, lead and motivate a bright and driven team to enhance their quality and productivity output by implementing relevant business process change.
- Engage with and influence management colleagues in AP and the regional offices to ensure customer operations delivers maximum benefit and is aligned to Health strategic objectives.
- Address the needs of the wider stakeholders in the company, through ongoing communication and interaction.
- Provide timely and adequate management reporting to ensure that Allianz Care Policy Management scorecard is visible and performance is in line with the operating plan.
- Drive and proactively monitor a consistent and coherent global governance framework, ensuring robust and efficient controls and quality standards are in place.
- Promote close and positive cooperation with other functions, to include Product, Sales, Client relationship Management, underwriting, risk & Customer Operations.
- Continually benchmark best in class standards for Policy management and drive change programmes to achieve these standards.
- Promote and reinforce the AP values of being responsible, connected, excellent and caring through a process of leading by example.
- Ensure at all times that appropriate controls are in place to adhere with policies, protocols, and standards to achieve objectives related to customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity.
- Support the development of key successors by selecting talented individuals and providing feedback that addresses skills gaps, and coach the team in learning new capabilities.
- Drive collaboration across AP boundaries by promoting the sharing of information.
- Apply a long-term, big-picture perspective that supports innovation and focuses people on changes that will add value to the business.

What You Bring To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills/ experience:
Professional Experience
- Educated at least to 3rd level degree level.
- At least five years of relevant commercial experience, including several years spent leading and developing teams within Operations.
- While experience of policy management of the health TPA / international private medical insurance market would be an advantage, neither is a prerequisite. Of most importance is prior experience of leading and influencing a diverse, international operations function.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to identify key talent, coach, develop talent, engage employees and an ability to hold employees and teams accountable and invested in their results.
- Fully effective analytical, project management and negotiation skills.
- Experience in operations or strategy consulting/project management.
- Experience of change management and business process re-engineering.
