Are you passionate about transforming the lives of people living with Parkinson’s disease? At the Parkinson’s Centre of Excellence at King’s College Hospital London – Dubai, we are redefining multidisciplinary care for movement disorders. We are now recruiting two key specialist roles:
🏃♂️ Specialist Physiotherapist – Parkinson’s Disease
As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions tailored to the unique needs of individuals with Parkinson’s. Your role will focus on improving mobility, balance, posture, and functional independence.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
– Deliver specialized exercise programs including gait training, cueing strategies, and fall prevention
– Collaborate with neurologists, nurses, and allied health professionals in MDT clinics
– Educate patients and caregivers on self-management and home-based strategies
– Contribute to service development and clinical audits
✅ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physiotherapy
- DHA license or eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in neurology or movement disorders
- Advanced training in Parkinson’s-specific physiotherapy (e.g., LSVT BIG, PWR!Moves) is highly desirable
🗣️ Speech & Language Pathologist – Parkinson’s Disease
You will play a crucial role in assessing and treating speech, voice, and swallowing difficulties associated with Parkinson’s. Your expertise will help patients maintain communication and nutritional safety, enhancing their quality of life.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed assessments of speech, voice, and swallowing function
- Deliver evidence-based therapy including LSVT LOUD or similar programs
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and case discussions
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and dysphagia management
- Support research and innovation in Parkinson’s care
✅ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Speech & Language Pathology
- DHA license or eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with a strong focus on neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders
- Certification in LSVT LOUD or equivalent is highly preferred
Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist with specialist expertise in Parkinson’s and movement disorders to join our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist physiotherapy assessments and interventions tailored to individuals with Parkinson’s and other movement disorders
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team (Neurologists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists Speech Therapists).
- Contribute to patient education and support groups, including exercise programmes and fall prevention.
- Monitor patient outcomes and contribute to service development and continuous improvement
- Support professional education, training and research within the Centre.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Physiotherapy and current professional registration
- Minimum 5 years experience, including substantial experience managing patients with Parkinson’s disease and related neurological conditions
- Training or certification in Parkinson’s-specific physiotherapy approaches (e.g. LSVT BIG, PD Warrior) highly desirable
- Strong communication, team work and clinical reasoning skills
- Passion for innovation and excellence in neurological condition
