Role Description The Pharmacist role at Al Fouad Pharmacies is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, review prescriptions for appropriateness, and provide clear counseling to clients on proper use, potential side effects, and interactions. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining medication inventory, ensuring proper storage conditions, and adhering to all relevant pharmacy regulations and quality standards. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, support customers with both medical and cosmetic product inquiries, and contribute to delivering accessible, high-quality care. Additional duties may include participating in health awareness initiatives, assisting with insurance-related processes, and supporting continuous improvement of pharmacy services.
Qualifications

  • Professional pharmacy expertise: Licensed Pharmacist (or eligibility for licensure in Egypt) with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, and strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.
  • Clinical and customer care skills: Ability to provide patient-centered counseling, assess prescriptions for safety and effectiveness, and offer clear guidance on medicine usage, side effects, and health promotion.
  • Operational and compliance skills: Experience in dispensing, inventory management, prescription processing, and adherence to pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and quality procedures.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills: Strong verbal and written communication in Arabic (and basic English preferred), with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and serve diverse customer needs.
  • Technical and organizational skills: Comfortable using pharmacy management systems and POS tools, with good attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications: Previous experience in community or chain pharmacies, familiarity with cosmetic and wellness products, willingness to work shifts and weekends as needed, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
