Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based at صيدليات دوس – Doss Pharmacies in Cairo. The Pharmacist will dispense prescription medications accurately, review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, and provide clear counseling on proper medication use, dosage, and potential side effects. The role includes maintaining up-to-date patient medication profiles, monitoring for drug interactions, and supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals with evidence-based pharmaceutical information. The Pharmacist will manage stock levels, ensure proper storage and handling of medicines, and comply with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Daily responsibilities also involve supporting customers with over-the-counter product selection, documenting interventions, participating in audits, and contributing to a collaborative, patient-focused pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Professional pharmacy expertise, including a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent), valid pharmacist license in Egypt, and strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug safety.
- Clinical and patient-care skills such as medication counseling, identifying drug interactions, dosage adjustment awareness, and promoting safe, effective treatment plans.
- Operational and organizational abilities, including inventory management, prescription processing accuracy, adherence to pharmacy regulations, and attention to detail in documentation.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers, including clear verbal and written communication in Arabic and basic English.
- Technical proficiency with pharmacy management systems, point-of-sale tools, and standard office software to support efficient workflow and record-keeping.
- Strong ethical standards, reliability, and commitment to patient confidentiality, with the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Prior experience in community or retail pharmacy is preferred; additional training or certifications in clinical pharmacy or patient counseling are considered an advantage.
