Outpatient Pharmacist

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability.
  • Responsible for the accurate dispensing and timely distribution of drugs and medicines for inpatients or outpatients.
  • Review, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal
  • providing advice on the dosage of medicines and the most appropriate form of medication, for example, tablet, injection, ointment or inhaler;
  • Ensuring medicines are stored appropriately and securely
  • Responding to medication-related queries within the hospital, other hospitals and the general public.
  • Writing guidelines for drug use within the hospital and implementing hospital regulations.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and economic drug treatment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree of Pharmacy
  • 1-2 years of experience
