Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Excellence:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with sports injuries.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings, imaging studies, and patient history.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include medications, physical therapy, injections, or surgical intervention.
Patient Care:
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, expected outcomes, and preventive measures.
Collaboration and Consultation:
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Provide expert consultation to primary care physicians and other healthcare providers regarding sports-related injuries and management strategies.
Responsibilities
Research and Education:
- Stay abreast of current research, trends, and advancements in orthopedic sports medicine.
- Contribute to clinical research initiatives and participate in educational activities for healthcare professionals, patients, and the community.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care processes, outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery and/or Sports Medicine
- Fellowship training in Sports Medicine preferred.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating sports-related injuries, including surgical and non-surgical management options.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
