Job Description


The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Oncology is a field-based medical professional responsible for executing Glenmark’s medical affairs strategy in the region assigned for oncology products across their lifecycle, including pipeline and marketed assets.

Working in close alignment with Global Medical Affairs and the local cross-functional team, the MSL serves as a scientific expert and trusted partner to oncologists, hematologists, investigators, and other key healthcare stakeholders. The role focuses on high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchange, medical insight generation, and support of evidence generation initiatives, while ensuring full compliance with local regulations, including local regulatory requirements and the Code of Conduct

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, maps, and develops scientific relationships with key oncology KOLs, investigators, and cancer centers across regions assigned in alignment with the medical strategy.
  • Conducts high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchange with HCPs, ensuring fair-balanced communication of clinical data, benefits, risks, and appropriate use of Glenmark oncology products.
  • Gathers, analyses, and communicates actionable medical insights from the field to inform local and global medical strategies.
  • Supports planning and execution of medical education initiatives such as advisory boards, medical education programs (MEPs), and focused group discussions.
  • Supports clinical evidence generation activities including investigator-initiated studies, real-world evidence initiatives, and company-sponsored studies in collaboration with Global Medical and Clinical teams.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of disease areas, treatment paradigms, competitive landscape, and local treatment guidelines relevant to assigned oncology assets
  • Provides scientific training and medical input to internal stakeholders, including sales and cross-functional teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Attends local and regional oncology congresses and scientific meetings to remain current on emerging data and evolving standards of care.
  • Responds to unsolicited medical information requests in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner, in collaboration with Medical Information and PV teams.
  • Ensures all medical activities are conducted in compliance with Glenmark SOPs, health authority regulations, and the local code of conduct

Educational Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Life Sciences or Healthcare (PharmD, M. Pharm, PhD, Msc, MBBS, BDS or equivalent)

Experience:

Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison, preferably in Oncology. Experience engaging with oncology stakeholders within the country healthcare system is strongly preferred. Familiarity with local regulatory requirements, clinical research processes, and medical affairs operations
