General Physician (Clinical & Surgical Support)

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and patient-focused General Physician to join our growing vascular and endovascular surgery team. This role combines clinical care, minor surgical support, and patient coordination, making it ideal for a physician who enjoys both hands-on clinical practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless patient care from the initial consultation through treatment and follow-up, while supporting consultants in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient clinic and inpatient wards.
  • Perform minor surgical and office-based procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Assist consultants during clinical assessments and selected surgical procedures when required.
  • Coordinate patient care, investigations, referrals, admissions, and follow-up appointments.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative patient assessment and management.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and postoperative care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely clinical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and administrative teams to optimize patient flow.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of patient safety.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Experience as a General Physician in a hospital or surgical setting.
  • Basic surgical skills and confidence in performing minor procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in surgery, vascular surgery, emergency medicine, or critical care.
  • Experience with patient coordination and case management.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR).
