Faculty Member in General Dentistry Program – Periodontics

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures, clinical instruction, and seminars in Periodontics to undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.
  • Supervise student research projects and theses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Conduct and publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research in the field of Periodontics.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
  • Engage in community outreach and professional development activities aligned with the college’s mission.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and accreditation processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and institutional goals.
  • Perform additional academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Program Chair.

Requirements

Education:

  • A PhD or equivalent degree in Periodontics from an accredited institution or Board Certification in Periodontics.
  • Recognized as a Consultant in Periodontics by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Experience:

  • Proven teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Experience supervising students in clinical and academic settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle academic administrative responsibilities.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong publication record in reputable national and international journals.
  • Ability to conduct and lead innovative research in Periodontics.
  • Curriculum design and course planning capabilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Technologically proficient, especially in academic platforms and digital tools.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
