Description Job Purpose: Performs assessment and management of patients that present to Fakeeh Care Emergency Department in an evidence-based approach, according to standards of care, and in compliance with Fakeeh Care bylaws, policies
and procedures.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Performs clinical duties as per his/her assigned clinical privileges.
- Assesses his/her patients thoroughly as per Fakeeh Care policies and documents patients’ assessment in patients’ EMR.
- Develops plan of care using evidence-based approach and following standards of care, and documents the plan of care in EMR according to Fakeeh Care policies.
- Ensures that patients’ plan of care that is put by him/her is being implemented in a timely manner.
- Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for ER patient registered under his/ her name until the patient receives an admission order under a new or different attending physician.
- Places medical consultation referrals as indicated to other disciplines.
- Documents in a timely manner and as per Fakeeh Care policies medical interventions that he/she performs on patients.
- Conducts education to patients and their families and engages them in the plan of care. Documents given education in patients’ EMR.
- Attends to Fakeeh Health Care facility duties and responds to calls from the facility as per departmental / section call schedule.
- Attends departmental and general staff meetings and contributes ideas for improving efficiency, productivity and patient satisfaction.
- Responsible for writing medical reports of his / her patients, and as per Fakeeh Care policies.
- Contributes to teaching activities as requested by chairperson of medical department.
- When acting as ER team leader: During his/her shift must ensure the following:
- Liaises with ED Chairperson regarding any urgent matters.
- Make sure that all staff (during his / her duties) are following the protocols and procedures.
- Follow escalation Process during any clinical / administrative conflicts.
- Encourage teamwork environment between the staff, and other patients care providers.
- Make sure the smoothness of day-to-day operation in the department.
- Accepts / Answers all incoming transfer calls and arranges for appropriate placement in coordination with duty managers.
- Maintains consistent patient flow and assists with the timely disposition of pending admissions.
- Accelerate all Radiology and Lab. Turnaround times in main ED and Fast Track.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

- Completion of mandatory education as per the requirement, at least one month prior to expiration.
Requirements Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to clearly communicate with patients and their families, physicians and non-medical staff.
- Microsoft computer skills.
- Should have good organization skills and able to work in highly stress situations.
Experience Completion of experience according to the regional health regulatory authority (as mentioned in education) within the field of specialty, in recognized medical centers.
Education Completion of structured training in the field of specialty or subspecialty in a recognized medical center and obtaining the highest clinical degree in that field of specialty that can be granted by that medical centers.
Language Excellent command of oral and written English and prefer Arabic.
Licenses / Certifications License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA), BLS and advanced license if applicable.
