Role Description The DHA Licensed Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, review prescriptions for appropriateness, and provide clear counseling to patients on proper use, side effects, and interactions. The role includes verifying insurance details, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring all processes comply with DHA and UAE regulatory standards. The pharmacist will manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and support ordering to prevent shortages and expiries. Daily responsibilities also involve collaborating with healthcare providers, supporting health promotion initiatives in the community, and contributing to the overall patient experience at the pharmacy. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai.

Qualifications

  • Valid DHA/SHA/MOH Pharmacist license and eligibility to practice in Dubai, UAE.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of medications, therapeutic uses, contraindications, and drug interactions.
  • Experience with prescription verification, dispensing, and patient counseling in a community or retail pharmacy setting.
  • Ability to adhere to DHA regulations, pharmacy laws, and quality and safety standards.
  • Competence in pharmaceutical calculations, dosage adjustments, and medication reconciliation.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain medical information in clear, accessible language.
  • Comfort with pharmacy management systems, electronic health records, and basic digital tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Customer service mindset, with a focus on empathy, respect, and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages commonly spoken in the UAE is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in the UAE healthcare or pharmacy sector is preferred but not mandatory.
