Demand Planner – (Pharmaceutical)

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: To support the demand planning process by generating accurate forecasts and providing data-driven insights to ensure product availability, inventory optimization, and efficient supply chain execution for the Pharma division.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Forecasting Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of short- and long-term demand forecasts
  • Analyze sales trends, promotional activity, seasonality, and product life cycles

Data Management and Coordination:

  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and logistics to gather forecast inputs
  • Maintain forecasting models and update demand planning systems

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor forecast accuracy and identify improvement areas
  • Support S&OP meetings with relevant data and analysis
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards for performance tracking

Inventory Support and Optimization:

  • Provide recommendations to improve stock availability
  • Alert the team on low or high stock risks based on forecast trends

Process Development and Documentation:

  • Document forecasting procedures and planning cycles
  • Assist in developing SOPs and improving planning accuracy over time

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Pharmacy, or related field is an advantage

Minimum Experience: 2–3 years of experience in demand planning or data analysis, preferably in the pharma or FMCG sector

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Job Specific:

  • Familiarity with forecasting methods and planning systems
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
