Demand Planner (Logistics and Supply Chain).
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Emirati graduate to join our team as a Demand Planner, supporting demand planning and supply coordination for healthcare facilities, including hospitals and health units. This role is designed to provide valuable on-the-job experience and training in supply chain operations within a critical sector. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and have a passion for learning and contributing to the healthcare supply chain.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a UAE National looking to start a career in logistics and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering and analyzing demand data from hospitals and healthcare units for various medical supplies.
- Support the preparation of demand forecasts under the guidance of senior planners to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Help in placing and following up on purchase orders with suppliers to ensure timely stock availability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to understand and communicate supply needs and delivery timelines.
- Participate in inventory monitoring and learn how to track usage trends to support continuous availability of critical materials.
- Contribute to the development of replenishment strategies to reduce the risk of stockouts or overstocking.
- Assist in reporting and tracking key supply chain metrics, including inventory availability and supplier performance.
- Learn and follow healthcare inventory management procedures and quality standards.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
- UAE National with family book.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in logistics with a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and an eagerness to develop analytical and data-handling skills.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Exposure to ERP or inventory management systems (through university projects or internships) is a plus.
- Internships or coursework related to healthcare or logistics will be considered beneficial.
