Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic procedures such as:
- Electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG)
- Holter monitoring
- Treadmill stress testing
- Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM)
- Ankle-brachial index (ABI)
- Vascular ultrasounds (if trained)
- Echocardiogram
- Stress test
- VO2 Max
- Remote data/monitoring
- Prepare patients for tests, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and endocrinologists to support patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely reporting of test results.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly, regularly maintained, and calibrated.
- Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines in all procedures.
- Assist in triaging patients for cardiac evaluations as part of the diabetes risk assessment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Stay current with developments in cardiovascular diagnostics and diabetes-related cardiac care
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
- DHA license or eligibility as a Cardiovascular Technician in Dubai (or relevant authority).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Experience working with patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and non-invasive testing protocols.
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and patient-centered environment
