Ali Bin Ali Hospital is a privately owned healthcare facility led by a Saudi family with around 10 years of experience in the medical field, under the leadership of CEO Mr. Waleed Bin Ali. The hospital offers comprehensive services through 45 consulting clinics covering a wide range of medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. It is equipped with 4 operating rooms, a catheterization laboratory, an emergency department, and 6 labor and delivery rooms. The facility also includes 10 adult intensive care unit (ICU) beds, 15 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) beds, a radiology department, and a fully equipped laboratory, providing an advanced environment for clinical and technical professionals.Role Description
The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and reliable operation of all medical equipment across the hospital. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, testing, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting medical devices used in clinics, operating rooms, ICUs, NICUs, radiology, and laboratory departments. The role also involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, maintaining technical documentation and equipment inventory, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and hospital policies.
The Biomedical Engineer works closely with clinical and technical teams to support the safe and efficient use of medical equipment, participates in equipment inspections, and contributes to medical technology improvement initiatives.
This is a full-time, on-site position based at Ali Bin Ali Hospital in Riyadh.Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.
- Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Valid classification/registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), if applicable.
- Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with medical equipment used in hospitals, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support devices.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and performance verification.
- Experience in planning and performing preventive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and medical device safety requirements.
