We are hiring – Associate Medical Secretary

Your Responsibilities

•  Prepare, type, and maintain medical reports, correspondence, prescriptions, and other clinical documents. 

• Enter and update patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. 

• Answer and manage telephone calls, emails, and patient inquiries professionally.

 • Verify and maintain the accuracy and completeness of patient records. 

• File and organize laboratory, radiology, and other medical reports.

• Coordinate referrals and book appointments with internal and external healthcare providers. 

• Assist patients by addressing routine inquiries and facilitating access to services. 

• Coordinate with the Operating Theatre (OT) department regarding surgery scheduling.

• Apply knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation practices. 

• Prepare medical reports related to insurance requirements and clinical requests. 

• Process online sick leave requests for both inpatient and outpatient services.

• Track and present laboratory and radiology reports to physicians for review. 

• Coordinate with laboratory departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely reporting. 

• Prepare and process insurance approval requests and related documentation.

• Ensure compliance with medico-legal requirements, including informed consent, release of information, medical     record amendments, and patient rights. 

• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and service excellence within the department

Education and Qualification

• Graduate from a Technical School of Medical Transcription program or equivalent.
• 2-3 years in similar role (Medical Transcription/Medical Secretary
