MetaCalc

As Chief Technology Officer at MetaCalc, I led the technology strategy and product development, overseeing the design and advancement of innovative calculator hardware solutions. I played a key role in the development of the first calculator prototype, contributing to its design, technical implementation, testing, and validation. I coordinated multidisciplinary engineering and product teams, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products aligned with technical and business objectives. My responsibilities included managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the technical prototype, evaluating and integrating emerging technologies, and driving innovation to support the company’s growth and long-term vision. Through this role, I strengthened my leadership, project management, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills in a technology-driven startup environment.

Materials Chemistry Laboratory UTAD

During my master’s dissertation, I gained hands-on experience in the chemical, structural and biological characterization of biomaterials. I developed practical skills in the operation and analysis of results obtained from a range of laboratory techniques and equipment, including Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), Zeta Potential Analysis, and Contact Angle Measurements. Additionally, I performed histological analyses and participated in experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific reporting. I also gained valuable experience in the synthesis and production of carbon dots, contributing to the optimization of their physicochemical properties. In this context, I carried out their optical characterization, including UV–Visible absorption spectroscopy and fluorescence emission analysis, which are essential for evaluating their electronic structure, optical behavior, and suitability for bioimaging applications.
