Cimas Healthathon Best Project 2024
I won the Cimas Healthathon 2024, a nationwide innovation competition in Zimbabwe focused on transforming healthcare through technology. Under the theme “Transforming Healthcare: Pioneering Tomorrow’s Health Solutions,” nine teams from various tertiary institutions competed to develop practical solutions for pressing health challenges. My team and I won the grand prize of US$1,500 for Epi App, a mobile application I helped develop to provide real-time monitoring for epilepsy patients, addressing gaps in timely diagnosis and management. This experience highlighted for me the power of technology and innovation to improve healthcare access and delivery in Zimbabwe.
