As Healthcare Assistant in IPD (Inpatient Department) and previously in DSU (Day Surgery Unit), Duties and responsibilities: • Completed and filed patient paperwork. • Updating records in the system. • Helping patients with activities of daily living. • Providing quality customer service. • Helping with lifting, moving, bathing and dressing patients. • Vital signs and Blood glucose monitoring. • Supervised inventory levels to maintain adequate supply of medications and medical supplies. • Answering phone calls, appointment setting and scheduling. • Data entry. • Maintaining a clean and sanitized environment. • Preparation of patients before surgery. • Inspected medication storage locations to monitor drug expiration dates and supply adequate inventory. • Daily beds making and performing light housekeeping duties in the patient’s room. • Maintained strict patient confidentiality. • Communicating with the healthcare team and family members.
