As a Medical Laboratory Sciences graduate, I am eagerly seeking opportunities to apply my theoretical knowledge and hands on experience gained through course work and clinical rotations to contribute effectively to a dynamic healthcare setting. I am extremely invested in my field of study and I am passionate about continuing my higher education in genomics where I can focus on genetic testing for diagnostic purposes.
My expertise revolves around various laboratory disciplines, including hematology, blood-bank, clinical chemistry, immunology, and serology. I am skilled in operating advanced laboratory equipment, performing quality control, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. I also have experience in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) to efficiently record and track laboratory data.
I am eager to explore new challenges and opportunities in the laboratory field and I aim to make a meaningful impact in healthcare. successfully managed: 1. The sample flow, ensuring the timely processing and accurate analysis of specimens. 2. My proficiency in operating and maintaining automated analyzers like cobas 6000, cobas 8000, Sysmex, DHS , Coag pro, ortho-vision swift etc. and other advanced laboratory instruments has allowed me to consistently deliver precise results, which are critical for effective patient care. 3. I have gained significant experience in performing a wide range of blood tests, including complete blood counts (CBC), smear morphology review, coagulation tests, blood typing, crossmatches and antibody screen as well as chemical analyses of blood and other body fluids. 4. Additionally, my familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) ensures that laboratory data is tracked and recorded. Gained technical skills in different lab departments like preparing blood smears, analyzing smear morphology to screen for anemia, pipetting skills, rapid diagnostic tests, specialized tests, quality control, calibration etc.
Introduced to automated laboratory instruments, importance of quality control and laboratory information systems. Performed diagnostic tests by following the SOP's.
